Workshop Synopsis:

The workshop introduces the LEGO Education learning philosophy which covers the 4Cs process ("Connect, Construct, Contemplate, and Continue) of carrying out a LEGO based lesson and how LEGO based method of instruction facilitates the learning of 21st century skills. We will demonstrate how LEGO Robotics in-class solutions are being used across the world in different contexts. Participants will have the opportunity to experience a LEGO Robotics model lesson with the students and teachers in a Singapore school.

Workshop Synopsis:

The workshop guides participants through, hands-on activities, the applications on the Windows platform, demonstrating the features and functions of applications in the school's context, co-authoring of content with Microsoft Word Web App, and quickly designing and creating content in Powerpoint.

A myriad of easy-to-use features of free ICT tools such as like Photosynth, Auto Collage, Movie Maker, Worldwide Telescope will be introduced to maximize the teaching and learning capabilities, providing new compelling methods of delivering content through 3D models (Photosynth in physical Geography), panoramas (Worldwide Telescope in Physics), and high-resolution images (DeepZoom in History).
