Learning Journey Synopsis:

The eduLab@AST plays a key role in bringing ideas to practice and its objectives are to:
  • foster ideation and collaboration in experimenting with technology in education;
  • promote adoption of successful use of technology in education; and
  • provide ICT infrastructure to facilitate technology experimentation for schools and MOE HQ to assess potential solutions prior to adoption.
Delegates on this learning journey will visit eduLab@AST to learn about its role in supporting and spreading ICT innovations among schools.

The Singapore River

Learning Journey Synopsis:

Get connected with Singapore's past through the use of location-based mobile technology as we journey through key heritage and historical sites along the banks of the Singapore River.

Participants will be organized into small groups to access information, answer questions, watch videos, take pictures, re-enact past scenes and solve puzzles in this highly interactive trail.

Chinatown

Learning Journey Synopsis:

Singapore's Chinatown was where Chinese immigrants resided during the British occupation. This Chinese ethnic neighbourhood features distinctly Chinese cultural elements and large sections of it have been declared national heritage sites officially designated for conversation.

The Chinatown Interactive Learning Trail enhances learners' understanding and appreciation of Chinese Culture and Language in an authentic learning outdoor environment. Join us in this interactive location-based game where learners collaborate to complete challenging context-specific tasks at designated learning hotspots.

Kampong Glam

Learning Journey Synopsis:

Prior to colonisation by the British in 1819, Kampong Glam was home to the Malay aristocracy of Singapore. It was designated for the Sultan and his household, as well as the Malay and Arab communities, many of whom were merchants.

Explore different cultural, religious and historical sites in Kampong Glam through the use of location-based mobile technology. Forge a sense of connectedness and purpose through better appreciation of how Singapore's ethnic pioneers lived and worked together, despite coming from a diverse ethnic group.

Learning Journey Synopsis:

The Classroom of the Future - COTF Live! showcase is an initiative set up to demonstrate a student-centric learning environment where technology is used to support pedagogical and instructional approaches. During the guided tour, participants will be immersed in the learning environment of the possible future to experience how learning can be unlimited by the constraints of place and time.
