David Warlick’s unique voice and message combine a wide range of experiences, both in and outside the education arena. He ran two businesses before graduating from high school and spent more than a year in manufacturing before completing his undergraduate work. Mr. Warlick worked for nearly ten years as a middle school Social Studies, Mathematics, and Science teacher, during which he also wrote award-winning instructional software and introduced hundreds of teachers to the educational potentials of personal computers.

In 1984, David moved to a central office position, as Director of Technology and then on to the North Carolina State Department of Public Instruction where he served as a technology integration consultant and built the nation’s first state department of education web site.
Since 1995, Mr. Warlick has been the owner and principal consultant of The Landmark Project, a professional development and innovations firm in Raleigh North Carolina. During this time David has spoken at conferences and delivered workshops for educators throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia, The Middle East, and South America.
David Warlick has been an innovator and leader in the field of educational technology and a prolific programmer. His classroom blogging site, Class Blogmeister, serves more than 100,000 users, and his attribution tool, Citation Machine, receives more than a half-million page views a day. These and all of his other web tools for teachers are free.
David has also written three books about technology and contemporary literacy, and has contributed to other publications including Technology & Learning Magazine, ALA’s KnowledgeQuest, Education World, and CUE Online, and has been quoted in Education Week, The San Francisco Chronicle, The New York Times, Washington Post, and USA TODAY.
What makes David Warlick a highly effective and sought-after speaker is that, at heart, he is a teacher with a contagious passion and enthusiasm for helping people discover a brand new world of teaching and learning.

Jenny has served schools and their students for twenty five years, and as principal led staff and community at Noumea Primary School to create an innovative approach to professional learning, school and pedagogical reform. As a result, the school received national and state awards for assessment, literacy, numeracy, knowledge management, school leadership and the integration of Mathematics and technology. |
Jenny is a past president and a Fellow of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (ACEL), and has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of ACEL. She has been awarded the national Nganakarrawa Award for outstanding leadership and was a finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards. She is the 2006 recipient of the Wyndham Medal awarded by the Australian College of Educators (ACE), a 2009 Fellow of ACE, and the 2007 recipient of the NSW Professional Teaching Council Exceptional Service Award. She has recently been awarded Associate Fellowships of the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian Society of Association Executives. She has been identified as one of the top one hundred most creative and innovative people in Australia by the Bulletin Magazine and is co-chair of the International Microsoft Partners in Learning Advisory Board. She is the Executive Officer of the International Congress for School Effectiveness and Improvement and an Executive Board Member of the Commonwealth Council for Educational Administration and Management. She is ACEL’s and the ACE’s representative to Teaching Australia.
She holds postgraduate qualifications in Educational Leadership, publishes regularly in education journals and is asked to present at national and international conferences on the areas of evidence-based leadership and building professional learning communities.

Kevin Walsh directs Oracle’s centers for technology R&D in China, Singapore, India, Australia, Japan and South Korea. He founded Oracle’s China Development Centers in 2001 and has since created Oracle’s technology innovation network spanning the entire Asian region. His team is focused on creating new software technology and industry solutions to address the specific needs of Asia’s rapidly growing regions. He is recognised as a visionary leader and technologist amongst his peers in Oracle. Kevin is a frequent speaker on future trends and emerging technologies that have impact on business and society. His current work includes projects centered on Digital Media, Grid Computing, Digital Cities, Open Source Software, Ubiquitous Sensor Networks, Embedded Systems, Social Networking, Learning Technology and Life Sciences in partnership with key stakeholders in industry and government throughout Asia. He has been granted several patents for his inventions of new software technology applications. Kevin is also responsible for developing Oracle’s long-term strategy for business growth in China, known as the ‘Golden China Initiative’. He is a board member of the Oracle Education Foundation and an advisor to some of the top Universities in Asia and the USA.
Kevin has more than 20 years of Asian business experience and he has previously headed Oracle’s systems support and technology marketing divisions from the Oracle Asia Pacific Headquarters in Singapore. Since joining Oracle in 1988, Kevin led the development of many of its key strategic programs. While working at Oracle’s HQ in Redwood Shores, California, he was responsible for managing the relationship with Oracle’s Global Alliance partners in North America, Asia and Europe. Kevin also contributed to the development of several of Oracle’s technology projects including web infrastructure, Very Large Databases, Massively Parallel Processing (MPP) Database Systems, and Server Appliances. He also pioneered Oracle’s efforts in Linux and other open source technologies and was responsible for the release of the first Oracle database software on Linux.
Prior to joining Oracle, Kevin was an Information Systems Architect with McDermott International. There he was responsible for developing global management information systems and databases in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. He has lived and worked in numerous countries and enjoys addressing complex, global challenges involving new and innovative applications of advanced technology.
Kevin received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of New Orleans at New Orleans, Louisiana. He received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a native of New Orleans but currently spends most of his time at his bases in Asia and the San Francisco Bay area.
