Paper Presentations
The duration of each presentation can either be 30 min or 60 min, and will be held during the concurrent sessions in meeting rooms.
Paper presentation may be presented as follows:
- Lecture - There may be one or more presenters, each addressing the audience independently. The content should be of high interest and widely applicable to the audience. It should educate, inspire, challenge, and/or provide specific implementation ideas. The focus should be on evaluation and synthesis rather than the history/details of a specific project or initiative.
- Panel - The main presenter serves as the moderator for his or her co-presenter panelists. The content should lend itself to a variety of perspectives with the moderator focusing on creating a cohesive presentation.
- Model Lesson - In this session, presenter assumes the role of a teacher while audience assumes role of observers or students in a 21st century model classroom. The model lesson should create more interactivity, engagement, learn-by-doing environments and take advantage of technology to deliver the cutting-edge pedagogy for instruction in a model classroom.
- BYOL - "Bring your own laptop" uses a revolutionary approach where participants bring their own laptops to learn new technology through practice. There is more hands-on and interaction activities involving the participants. Presenters could share learning resources or software applications to engage participants in a hands-on explorative or interactive environment. The instructional learning concepts in this session should be clarified and organised in a logical direction so that the participant's learning can be facilitated. (Note: BYOL session is not suitable for featuring bandwidth-heavy MUVES or requires any software downloads)
